Plasma Cutter

The Plasma Cutter Operator is responsible for the operating cutting machines. 

• Requirements:

  • Primarily use plasma cutting equipment to cut pipes.
  • Grind galvanized and black pipes as needed to remove paint or coating, ensuring a clean area for welding.
  • Prepare and assemble piping systems used in fire sprinkler installations.
  • Accurately read and use a measuring tape to ensure precise cuts and assembly.
  • Identify labels on pipes and cut them accordingly to match specifications.
  • Recognize different types of pipes and ensure correct cutting and assembly.

  
  

  Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years with manual plasma cutting machines and their operation.
  • Capability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to plasma cutting
  • Able to pass a background check of 7 years.
  • Must be bi-lingual.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Welder with proficiency in Stick welding, soldering, and Plasma cutting techniques.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding practices.
• Experience operating cranes and rigging equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to safety practices in the workplace is essential.
