Job Title: Plasma Material Handling Associate Operator - 1st Shift
Location: City of Industry, CA 91715
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 5:30 AM 2:00 PM (Onsite; occasional overtime as needed)

Overview of the Job

The Plasma Material Handling Associate Operator serves as the primary point of contact for plasma logistics operations at the Plasma Logistics Center. This role receives raw plasma shipments from donor centers and manages inventory flow through classification, freezer storage, and fractionation staging using the Plasma Management System (SGP), Radio Frequency Terminals (RFT), forklifts, and electric pallet jacks. Operating in extreme cold temperatures (-30 C or colder), this position enforces cGMP compliance, FDA guidelines, OSHA safety regulations, and strict quality controls.

Job Specifications

Primary Responsibilities

" Unload plasma shipments, identify and sort plasma types, and process receipts into the Plasma Management System (SGP).

" Operate Radio Frequency Terminal (RFT) equipment to monitor and track inventory movements across warehouse and freezer locations.

" Locate, verify, and pull plasma units from freezer work orders for production staging.

" Identify, remove, and manage rejected or unsuitable plasma units from processed production units (PUs) and consolidated lots.

" Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and rider electric pallet jacks, to transport and store plasma.

" Inspect shipping equipment, pallets, and crates for damage to determine suitability for production use.

" Maintain cGMP compliance, 5S workplace standards, and high cleanliness levels across warehouse and freezer areas.

" Adhere strictly to all company SOPs, FDA rules, OSHA regulations, and EHS safety policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

" Extreme Temperature Capability : Ability to work continuously in extreme freezer environments (-30 C or colder).

" Material Handling Equipment : Demonstrated capability to safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks / rider electric pallet jacks.

" Physical Demands : Ability to repeatedly lift and move 25 to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

" Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and basic math skills.

" Good verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

" Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

" Experience working within cGMP, FDA-licensed, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

" Familiarity with reading, understanding, and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

" Prior experience using Plasma Management Systems (SGP) or Radio Frequency Terminals (RFT).

Education and Experience

" High School Diploma or GED required.

" 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or pharmaceutical environments preferred.
