Job Title: Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator
Shift: 2nd Shift ($19/hr) | 3rd Shift ($19/hr)
Employment Type: Full-Time- T2H
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating molding machines, performing quality checks, and using precision measuring tools.
< Operating the Machine
Once production begins, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Removing finished plastic parts from the injection molding machine
  • Trimming excess plastic (flash) using hand tools when necessary
  • Inspecting each part for defects such as:
    • Cracks
    • Short shots (incomplete fills)
    • Burn marks
    • Warping
    • Surface blemishes
  • Packaging acceptable parts according to customer specifications
  • Recording production counts and scrap

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate plastic injection molding machines safely and efficiently
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure (to 1/16 ), millimeters, and centimeters
  • Utilize precision tools such as calipers and micrometers
  • Perform basic math calculations for measurements and quality checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety and production procedures
= Quality Checks
Throughout the shift, you'll perform regular quality inspections by:
  • Measuring parts using calipers, gauges, or templates
  • Comparing parts to quality standards
  • Reporting defects immediately
  • Stopping production if serious quality issues occur

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in plastic injection molding or similar manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately (1/16 , metric units)
  • Proven experience using calipers and micrometers
Physical Requirements
Most positions require employees to:
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 25 50 pounds
  • Bend, reach, twist, and walk frequently
  • Work in a warm manufacturing environment
  • Perform repetitive hand motions

Monday - Friday 2nd shift 2:15PM-10:45PM 3rd Shift 10:45PM-7:15AM.
