    Job Description

    About the Role

Step into a day where your eye for detail keeps customers delighted. As a Plastic Injection Molding Quality Inspector, you will examine plastic components coming off injection molding presses or from secondary assembly, perform light part modifications, and prepare conforming product for shipment. You will be the final checkpoint for quality, accuracy, and presentation—living our core values with every lot you release.

    What Your Day Looks Like

    • Start by reviewing job travelers: quality specs, work instructions, and packaging criteria so you know exactly how to run the job correctly.
    • Ask clarifying questions early—then follow documented procedures for operation, inspection, and packing.
    • Perform minor part touch-ups: trim runners, complete simple secondary ops (e.g., basic welding or insert placement) as specified.
    • When production quantities are met, remove and replace totes, package parts to standard, apply labels, and use an RF scan gun to book parts into inventory.
    • Conduct final inspections—visually and with gauges—to verify conformance to customer requirements.
    • Use scales to count, weigh, or sort parts for assembly and packaging.
    • Support quality sorts on the line and offline as needed.
    • Execute customer-specific packaging to the letter.
    • Leverage IQMS to label and package parts, prep upcoming jobs, enter rejects, verify counts, locate raw materials, sub‑components, and packaging, account for finished goods, and move inventory throughout the system.
    • Complete all paperwork accurately: rejects, end‑of‑run verification, and shift counts.
    • Set up and tear down cells at the beginning and end of production per standard work.
    • Keep your area clean and organized—vacuuming, tidying, and maintaining order.
    • Immediately flag mold defects, machine issues, or safety concerns to your supervisor.
    • Show up reliably and on time, and jump in on other tasks that support team success.
