The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to join the Surgery Service at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida. This opportunity offers a broad surgical practice encompassing reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, complex wound management, and trauma care in a collaborative academic environment.

Practice Highlights

• Provide a full range of medical, procedural, and surgical care in plastic surgery to adult patients.
• Deliver comprehensive reconstructive surgical care and manage complex wounds.
• Perform elective, urgent, and emergent hand surgeries.
• Provide surgical care for facial and hand trauma.
• Conduct outpatient clinics for consultations, minor procedures, and postoperative follow-up care.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient plastic surgery services.
• Supervise and educate medical trainees in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and medical teams to provide coordinated Veteran care.
• Participate in call coverage as part of the position.
• Opportunity for a clinical appointment with the University of South Florida Department of Plastic Surgery.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Plastic Surgery; additional training or interest in hand surgery is highly preferred.
