Key outcomes you’ll drive

  • Hit daily output goals while safeguarding people, equipment, and product
  • Plan and stage equipment, raw materials, and staffing for upcoming runs
  • Apply customer and Teknor Color Company quality standards to every lot
  • Pull and manage batch cards and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and operate production equipment as needed
  • Guide operators through efficient process flow, assisting with changeovers and line operation
  • Log shift performance data in the daily production report
  • Model, reinforce, and enforce company rules, policies, and safe work practices
  • Lead a safe shift and prepare the line for the next team
  • Follow procedures, work instructions, and test methods; conduct and record in-process tests and Q.C. checks of finished goods
  • Flex across overtime or alternate shifts as needed

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–3 years running production equipment; plastics process knowledge preferred
  • Experience with plastic extrusion equipment preferred
  • Forklift certification
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Lift/carry 55 lbs and wear a respirator as needed
  • Must be 18 years of age to work at Teknor Apex.

Where you’ll work and report

  • Location: Jacksonville, TX
  • Reports to: Production Manager
  • Third-shift role; 8-hour production shifts with weekly pay
  • Shift differential available for 2nd and 3rd shift
  • Overtime production schedule published 1 year in advance—no production is scheduled for most holiday weekends
