Job Title: Plastics Material Handler Lead - Injection Molding
Location: Canton, GA 30114
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Shift: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts

Plastics Material Handler Lead - Injection Molding Description:

  • Lead and support warehouse/material handling team members to meet daily production goals and priorities
  • Mix, dry, and prepare plastic resins according to precise work instructions and batch specifications
  • Stage and deliver materials to injection molding machines to ensure uninterrupted production
  • Monitor production schedules to maintain at least 24 hours of material readiness
  • Operate forklifts to pull and transport materials safely and efficiently
  • Receive, label, and store raw materials while maintaining accurate inventory records in SAP
  • Record all inventory transactions using RF scanners with a high level of accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve material-related issues on the production floor in collaboration with operations teams
  • Ensure proper material identification and prevent contamination during handling and mixing processes
  • Support warehouse system implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and housekeeping practices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs consistently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and general computer systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production and warehouse teams
  • Experience with plastic injection molding materials (PP, PE, Nylon, ABS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment such as mixers, dryers, and feeders
  • Understanding of FIFO inventory practices
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and RF scanners
