Plastics Molding Asset Reliability Manager (Multi-Site)

What you’ll do

• Own reliability and maintenance plans for two injection molding sites—presses, robotics, automation, auxiliaries, and facility systems.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians; model safe work and continuous improvement.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance and drive initiatives that increase asset uptime and stability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues on PLC-controlled equipment, robots, mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and molding cells.
• Run data-driven root cause analysis; convert findings into corrective and preventive actions that stick.
• Manage the maintenance schedule, work orders, spare-parts inventory, and critical asset strategies using CMMS.
• Monitor KPIs (uptime, MTBF, PM compliance, response time) and act on trends to improve performance.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality on process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Plan and support installations, retrofits, and facility projects; deliver safely and on time.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance in manufacturing.
• 3+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or lead technician capacity.
• Direct experience maintaining plastic injection molding machinery.
• Comfort with auxiliary molding equipment and automated manufacturing environments.
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic domains.
• Industrial robotics and PLC experience strongly preferred.
• Associate degree, technical/trade-school background, or equivalent real-world experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Thrives in a fast-paced setting; remains hands-on supporting the production floor.
• Can travel between local facilities; available for occasional weekends and overtime based on production needs.
