Plate Mounting Technician ~ Start time 2PM and work 8-10 hour shift - Training on 1st shift for first 30 days

Qualifications:

• Proof of High school diploma or equivalent is a must.
• Current and update resume/ showing no more than 3 jobs in the last 7yrs with 3 verifiable references
• Basic computer skills. Basic Math skills using calculator
• Must be able to read a tape measure to the 32nds
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Manufacturing, printing, or production experience is a plus.

Schedule: Full-Time / Must be able to train on 1st shift for 30 days. Then able to mlove to 2nd shift 2PM start time and work for 8-10hrs shifts Monday -Friday

Pay: [$18 hourly] Temp to Hire position. with full benefits at hire.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Plate Mounting Technician to mount, proof, inspect, and prepare printing plates according to customer specifications and production requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Mount and proof printing plates accurately using customer specifications and work orders.
• Prepare, clean, package, and ship completed plates.
• Read and accurately interpret the work order and customer machine specifications.
• Use ink brayer to ink plates and pull a smooth covered proof.
• Cut mounting materials and install edge strips, grommets, or slots as required.
• Proof the plates accurately and make one proof for company records, one for the customer, and others as required on the work order.
• Clean plates thoroughly using the plate bath and package plates properly to be shipped.
• Verify barcodes, maintain equipment, and perform quality checks.
• Record production time and materials in company software Cyframe
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all quality standards
• Maintain the Opti-Chek equipment and calibrate it periodically.

Other Job Functions:

• Perform light maintenance of equipment as needed.
• Performs all job duties safely and in accordance with the company quality guidelines.
• Performs general housekeeping to keep area clean. Any other duties as assigned.
