    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented Prepress/Plate Technician to support production by preparing negatives and photopolymer plates, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining accurate workflow records.

    Prepress/Plate Technician Flexible start time (after training) 10AM-11AM-12PM and work 8 hour shift

    Knowledge and Skills Required:

    • Proof of High school diploma or equivalent is a must.
    • Current and update resume/ showing no more than 3 jobs in the last 7yrs with verifiable references
    • Basic computer skills. Basic Math skills using calculator
    • Must be able to read a tape measure to the 32nds

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, trim, strip, splice, and organize negatives for production.
    • Properly mark up required negatives and plates
    • Verify barcodes and maintain accurate production logs and job records.
    • Set up, pour, and process photopolymer plates to required specifications.
    • Wear gloves and face shield when handling the developer/fixer powder.
    • Pour or set up photopolymer plates at a variety of heights accurately.

    Perform mechanical or hand pour of plates as necessary.

    • Monitor proofs and plate quality, making exposure and thickness adjustments as needed.
    • Properly expose screens and fine copy utilizing the extra back exposure technique.

    Adjust exposure time for plates as needed.

    • Perform measurements, distortion calculations, and quality checks for production accuracy.
    • Utilize distortion calculations accurately
    • Record material usage and production time in company software for each job in Cyframe.
    • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Qualifications:

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to follow technical procedures and production specifications.
    • Basic computer skills and experience with production tracking systems preferred.
    • Manufacturing, printing, or prepress experience is a plus.

    Schedule: Full-Time / Must be able to train on 1st shift for 30 days. Flexible start time after training 10AM-11AM-12PM and work 8-10hr hour shift
    Location: [Holland, OH]
    Pay: [$18 hourly] Temp to Hire position. with full benefits at hire.

    Other Job Functions:

    • Perform light maintenance of equipment as needed.
    • Performs all job duties safely and in accordance with the company quality guidelines.
    • Performs general housekeeping to keep area clean. Any other duties as assigned.
