Platform Engineer - DevOps Specialist (L2)

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)
Duration: Approximately 6 Months (1,056 total hours)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer - DevOps Specialist (L2) to join our team in Seattle, WA. This is an onsite contract opportunity supporting the design, deployment, management, and optimization of highly available and scalable Kubernetes environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, reliability, and scalability of critical platform infrastructure.
Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain highly available Kubernetes environments.
Administer and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Support Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services.
Monitor platform performance, availability, and security.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and application deployment issues.
Implement automation and DevOps best practices.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve platform reliability and scalability.
Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

Experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
Knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
Experience supporting production environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with containerization technologies.
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, or similar).
Azure certifications are a plus.
