Platform Engineer – AWS

Location: St. Louis, MO
Work Model: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting enterprise data platforms, AI agent environments, CI/CD pipelines, and production workloads. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, automation, containerization, networking, security, and Python development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure using S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Manage cross-account AWS connectivity, VPC Peering, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, security groups, and IAM policies.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Build and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and automated deployments.
• Develop Python scripts, CLIs, automation utilities, and integration services.
• Support AI agent runtime environments and container-based deployments.
• Manage IAM access, AWS Secrets Manager, and least-privilege security controls.
• Implement production monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and incident response.
• Support infrastructure provisioning and new data-source onboarding.
• Work with REST APIs, AWS SDK/boto3, Git workflows, and automated testing.
