Platform Product Manager (AI & Data Platform)
General Summary
The Platform Product Manager is a key member of the digital platform team, responsible for leading the development, strategy, and performance of an AI-driven recommendation platform and its integration ecosystem.
This role will help define and deliver the next generation of a cloud-based platform that leverages advanced analytics and generative AI to synthesize product data, customer assessments, and operational insights. The resulting recommendations help customers make better decisions through intelligent, data-driven guidance.
The Platform Product Manager bridges technical expertise with business strategy, translating complex data models and AI capabilities into scalable digital solutions that deliver measurable customer value. This individual will partner closely with software engineers, data scientists, and global business stakeholders to define platform requirements, guide algorithm evolution, and manage the roadmap for APIs and system integrations across enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
Platform & AI Product Ownership
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of an AI-powered recommendation platform, from concept through continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to design, train, and deploy generative AI models that deliver intelligent product recommendations and decision-support capabilities.
  • Define performance metrics, validation frameworks, and feedback loops to ensure accuracy, transparency, and business value.
  • Partner with business teams to operationalize AI-driven recommendations within customer-facing workflows and digital applications.

Product Requirements & Technical Integration
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for platform features, data pipelines, APIs, and integrations.
  • Define both functional and non-functional requirements supporting integrations with enterprise systems including CRM, ERP, and product information platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and responsible AI standards.
  • Partner with software engineering and architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable platform capabilities.
API Strategy & Platform Ecosystem
  • Define and execute the API strategy supporting interoperability across internal and external systems.
  • Establish API governance, documentation standards, and versioning practices.
  • Enable delivery of platform insights into customer portals, commercial applications, and digital service offerings.
Product Strategy & Stakeholder Leadership
  • Build and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with the organization's digital transformation strategy.
  • Collaborate across engineering, data science, marketing, and commercial organizations to balance technical innovation with business priorities.
  • Translate complex AI and analytics concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive the continued evolution of the platform from an expert-driven solution into a scalable AI-enabled digital product.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline.
  • MBA preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience supporting AI-driven products, data platforms, or enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Experience delivering products involving machine learning, recommendation engines, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with engineering, data science, and commercial teams.
  • Experience within B2B software, industrial technology, healthcare, or enterprise digital platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with APIs, JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI, SQL, Snowflake, or Databricks.
  • Experience working with AWS, Azure, or other cloud-native platforms.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data architecture, APIs, and systems integration.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer-facing business value.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Agile product management tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and product prioritization skills.
