Plating Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: 51st Ave & Camelback., Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $24.00-25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (10-hour shifts)

Position Overview

Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Plating Operator to join a precision manufacturing team in West Phoenix. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plating operations, chemical handling, equipment maintenance, and process troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates with gold plating experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate surface areas and determine proper amperage requirements for plating loads
• Activate parts prior to plating processes
• Perform plating operations according to established procedures and quality standards
• Diagnose and resolve part defects while identifying root causes
• Handle plating chemicals safely and in accordance with established protocols
• Identify and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Troubleshoot plating tank issues, including:
  • Cable connections
  • Filter change-outs
  • Resistance failures
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on plating equipment
• Maintain accurate process documentation and production records
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of plating experience required
• Gold plating experience preferred
• Strong understanding of plating processes, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience working with hazardous chemicals and following proper handling procedures
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Education

• High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE
