More information is available on our website ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end process optimization for Nickel and Zinc plating lines, ensuring repeatability, efficiency, and consistent quality across locationsConduct process audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to standardize operationsEstablish and enforce process controls, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and parameter managementDiagnose and resolve process variation, defects, and quality issues using root cause analysis (RCA) and data-driven methodsDrive implementation of statistical process control (SPC) and performance monitoring systemsPartner with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure process stability and uptimeDevelop and maintain documentation including process flow diagrams, control plans, and work instructionsEvaluate and optimize bath chemistry, chemical usage, and plating line performanceEstablish maintenance protocols and oversee execution, including effectiveness trackingIdentify equipment and process improvement opportunities and support multi-year investment planningLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, cost reduction, and throughputProvide technical guidance and training across sites and teamsSupport customer audits, compliance requirements, and plating-related standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field5–10+ years of hands-on plating process engineering experience, including:Nickel plating (electroless and/or electrolytic)Zinc platingDemonstrated expertise in process control, SPC, and troubleshooting plating operationsStrong understanding of:Bath chemistry managementSurface preparation and pretreatmentCoating thickness, adhesion, and corrosion performanceProven ability to stabilize underperforming processes and implement sustainable improvementsStrong English language skills requiredAbility to travel up to 50% within the U.S. and MexicoValid passport and/or required travel documentationPreferred QualificationsSpanish language proficiency (strongly preferred for U.S.-based candidates)Experience in high-volume or automotive manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with ISO/IATF quality systemsLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)Experience with process automation or digital monitoring systemsKey CompetenciesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong process discipline and attention to detailAbility to audit processes and implement corrective actionsEffective communication across technical and non-technical teamsAbility to influence and drive change across multiple sitesHands-on, action-oriented approachCommitment to Core ValuesHonestyIntegrityCaring for PeopleCustomer FocusTeamworkCommunicationImprovement#J-18808-Ljbffr
