What you’ll tackle
- Get to the root of electrical and PLC issues on machines and restore operation quickly
- Program, edit, and optimize Allen‑Bradley PLCs to enhance performance
- Diagnose electrical faults on production equipment using solid troubleshooting methods
- Dig into HMI and broader control system problems to resolve operator-impacting issues
- Install new control hardware and automation components, wiring and configuring them for service
- Design and roll out improvements to control systems that boost reliability and safety
- Carry out preventive maintenance on electrical assets to reduce downtime
- Support equipment start‑ups and commissioning, ensuring smooth handoffs to operations
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams during unplanned failures
- Keep electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation accurate and current
- Oversee spare parts for electrical systems, ensuring availability and proper stock levels
- Partner with outside contractors to complete equipment installations
- Contribute to capital upgrades and automation projects from concept through implementation
