Job Description: Controls Technician

Join a leading organization specializing in the manufacturing of magnetic components, including high-performance RF chip inductors, power magnetics, and filters. We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to work in our custom machine build department.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC programs to ensure machines cycle correctly.
• Download parameter files into servo drives and troubleshoot wiring errors, servo systems, and sensors.
• Program various servo motors and monitor the PLC program in real time to address issues related to air line plumbing, wiring, and machine settings.
• Collaborate with mechanical builders to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
• Utilize Microsoft Office products and CAD software for documentation and design purposes.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of previous work experience with control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Experience with servo motors and HMIs.
• Understanding of AC and DC circuits used in automation machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and CAD software.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
