Let’s Talk About the Work
Based in the Louisville, KY area, this permanent full-time role centers on keeping PLC-driven industrial equipment online. You’ll zero in on electrical reliability—locating faults fast, repairing the issue, and partnering with production to prevent recurrences.
What will I do?
- Own electrical troubleshooting on automated machinery with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or comparable).
- Pinpoint failures in ladder logic, I/O cards, sensors, and field wiring using RSLogix/Studio 5000, TIA Portal, and test equipment like a multimeter.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic to plan and execute effective repairs and updates.
- Complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks with a sharp focus on electrical system health.
- Conduct daily rounds to identify issues early and respond quickly to unplanned downtime.
- Handle mechanical fixes when needed; electrical performance remains your primary mission.
- Coordinate with production to restore operation rapidly and communicate findings.
What do I need to bring?
- 3–5+ years of experience as a maintenance electrician in an industrial maintenance setting.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance practices, and industrial networking tools/standards.
- Ability to read and apply schematics/prints and support basic pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Proficiency troubleshooting PLC systems with AB/Siemens platforms using RSLogix/Studio 5000 or TIA Portal.
What would make me stand out?
- Two-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
- Hands-on background troubleshooting equipment in automated environments.
What’s the team like?
Collaborative, clear communicators who move fast and help each other succeed. If you enjoy solving tough problems with a supportive crew, this is the place to do it.
