The O41 Controls Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the controls systems and software for complex equipment and machinery, utility infrastructure, building operating systems, and submarine delivery/transportation systems.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues within assigned system(s)Provide technical direction to maintenance personnel and controls technician team to support routine and non‑routine equipment repair workMaintain configuration control of PLC programs for NNS systems and equipmentProduce and/or oversee the development of technical documentation that govern the system design, configuration, and operation of NNS controls systemsParticipate in project design and implementation process for system related projectsDevelop a long‑range strategic plan for controls improvements for assigned systems and equipmentDevelop and maintain critical system metricsDevelop and maintain technical training for junior engineers and controls techniciansOversee project/system testing to ensure system meets technical requirements and operates at peak performanceResearches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
