Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top We are currently seeking a PLC Maintenance Specialist for a client within the automotive manufacturing industry.

Position Overview

This position supports preventative and predictive maintenance activities to ensure production lines and plant equipment remain operational in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, PLC and control system support, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. This is a technical role with strong exposure to automation systems and cross-functional collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLCs, HMIs, motion controls, and electrical/mechanical systems to maintain equipment uptime

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities and ensure PM work orders are completed on time

• Analyze equipment downtime data and implement corrective actions and countermeasures

• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints to support maintenance and equipment improvements

• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and collaborate with vendors and contractors

• Provide technical support to maintenance team members and assist with complex system issues

• Ensure compliance with safety policies, LOTO procedures, and company standards including ISO and IATF

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance or related experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong experience with PLC troubleshooting, preferably Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and OSHA safety standards

• Experience with machine operation, automation, and control systems

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and systems such as SAP or VAATZ

• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or within a team

Compensation: ($75,000 - $85,000)
