Plumber A

Job Description

Performs various plumbing assignments including installations, repairs and pipe replacements, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas, and drainage systems throughout the hospital.

Job Responsibility

• • Installs, maintains and replaces water, gas, steam, air, waste and vent, drainage and vacuum systems.
• • Provides guidance and instructions to Plumber B and other personnel assigned to projects.
• • Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.
• • Serves as a member of Fire Response Team.
• • Assists contractors in shutdown of services and utility systems.
• Performs related duties as required.

Job Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

• Previous plumbing experience, required.

• Ability to utilize portable and stationary power tools of the trade and read blueprints.

• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
