Due to the critical nature of Honeywell's mission here at the Federal Research Facility at White Oak, as our nightshift (Plumber) Fitter Journeyman, you will play a crucial role in providing support during your scheduled nightshift hours and occasional overtime. The Nightshift Plumber routinely tours the campus and is responsible for handling urgent plumbing emergencies, inspections, and maintenance across multiple buildings during overnight hours. This role combines technical plumbing skills with the flexibility to travel between various buildings. The responsibilities of this operating overnight position include but are not limited to: diagnosing issues, performing repairs, as well as two tours per shift in all buildings. You will be responsible for assisting our Local 602 fitter journeyman on occasions to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of plumbing and mechanical systems for our customers.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on 24/7 nightshift operations by providing field support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Your expertise in Plumbing systems and your ability to effectively communicate with customers will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong relationships.
You will report directly to our Facilities Management Supervisor locally in Silver Spring, MD. You will follow a Night Shift schedule: 6:00pm to 6:00AM. You will be issued a Honeywell phone for business use.
