Pay Range: $28.41 - $32.66/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and/or department supervisor, the Plumber provides professional plumbing services and facility support to ensure safe and reliable operations throughout Finger Lakes Health facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation work
  • Provide support for facility operations and building systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing-related issues
  • Follow safety procedures, policies, and established standards
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with staff, patients, and visitors
  • Complete work assignments efficiently while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications:

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required License:

  • Valid New York State Driver's License with driving record consistent with Finger Lakes Health policy

Required Certifications (Minimum):

  • EPA Certified in Refrigerant Recovery
  • Journeyman or Master Plumber Certification
  • Medical Gas Certification
  • 1st Class or 2nd Class Boiler Operator (Stationary Engineer)

Experience:

  • Minimum: 1-2 years of building operations and maintenance experience with professional certification
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in a professional trade setting

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
