Plumber Helper

Location: Houston, TX 77017
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; Saturday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Workweek: 40+ hours per week; currently operating on a 6-day workweek
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours worked
Additional Hours: Occasional extended hours may be required
Lunch: 30-minute lunch break

Purpose of the Position

The Plumber Helper performs plumbing-related work under the direction of the Area Supervisor and/or Lead Man in the assigned department. Responsibilities include assisting with water supply line assemblies, DWV (Drain, Waste & Vent) line assemblies, and common plumbing connections such as sinks, toilets, and related fixtures.

The Plumber Helper will assist with production activities, follow drawings and work instructions, maintain quality standards, and support a safe and productive work environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Layout and install basic plumbing products and components.
• Assist with water supply line assemblies.
• Assist with DWV line assemblies.
• Assist with common plumbing connections, including sinks, toilets, and related fixtures.
• Build products according to design specifications and drawings.
• Ensure quality and accuracy in every task performed.
• Follow work instructions and direction from supervisors and lead personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Marginal Job Functions

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Replace or assist other workers as needed.
• Cross-train and assist with tasks in other departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing principles preferred
