Summary:

Performs advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems including water, steam, condensate, pneumatic, fuel oil, natural gas, medical gasses, fire main, soil drain and sewer piping, valves, pumps, traps, regulators, distribution infrastructure and fittings in accordance with applicable codes and regulations with minimal supervision. Completes scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include plumbing and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment. May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines. May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

4 years' experience in an acute healthcare setting is acceptable in lieu of HSD/GED. 5 Years Plumbing experience is required. 3 Years Hospital Maintenance is preferred. Journeyman Plumbing License is preferred. Medical Gas Certification is required.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
