1 Plumb er Journeyman , Plumber Med -Gas Job Overview : As a journeyman plumber or med gas plumber, you will support commercial construction projects by installing plumbing systems according to your position 's capabilities and parameters . Responsibilities: • Commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough -ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as, healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others. • Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how/where to install plumbing systems. • Measures, marks dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as lasers, rulers, calculators, and squares transit lasers. • Solder, braze with oxygen & acetylene, use glue and primer for CPVC/PVC, cast iron, poly pipe, pex pipe. • Install hanger assemblies for piping using unistrut, nuts washers, and clevis hangers. • Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing Plumbing systems. • Use of hand/power tools. • Install systems according to specifications and appropriate trade/building codes. • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned. Qualifications/Requirement s: • 2+ years of commercial plumbing experience. • Current / valid applicable license in Texas (e.g., Journeyman License, Apprentice License, Master License, Med Gas) . • Experience leading / coaching an apprentice and/or helper . Preferred Qualifications : • OSHA 10 or other relevant safety certification. • Medical Gas Certification endorsement (if applying for med gas), or ability to obtain . License/Certification : • Med -Gas Certification (Preferred) • Plumbing Apprentice License (Preferred) • Journeyman Plumbing License (Preferred) Additional Requirements : • Basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills. • Complies and promotes company Safety Policy . • Regular and punctual attendance. • Ability to stand, squat, bend, climb, stoop and comfortably lift up to 75 lbs. • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening. • Ability to pass a physical ability test . 2 Work environment is field based . Requires walking, standing, climbing ladders, and working in varying temperatures. May require travel between project sites.
