Plumber & Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

- Perform general maintenance, plumbing repairs, and building upkeep

- Install, maintain, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, water, waste, storm, and sewer lines, valves, fittings, and piping, and gas and fuel lines

- Inspect and maintain laundry equipment, pools, pumps, and water treatment systems

- Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment

- Inspect fire sprinkler booster pumps and maintain compliance documentation

- Identify leaks, deficiencies, and other building issues and recommend repairs

- Respond to maintenance work orders and emergency situations

- Assist with HVAC, boilers, and water heating/distribution systems

- Support snow removal, furniture/event setups, parking assistance, and other general maintenance needs

- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies

- Occasionally work evenings, weekends, holidays, snow days, or other off-hours as needed

Requirements:

- Able to lift 50+ pounds throughout an 8-10 hour day

- Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform manual labor for extended periods

- Ability to work outdoors and perform grounds/maintenance projects

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Professional and respectful interaction with students, faculty, staff, vendors, and contractors

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in plumbing and general maintenance within a school or similar environment

- High school diploma required

- Valid driver's license with a clean record

- Ability to read and understand plumbing plans and blueprints

- Must be at least 18 years old
