Minimum Qualifications

One year of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:

Three years of experience or training in pipefitting, steam fitting, or plumbing.

Job Duties and Other Information

  • Repairs and modification to all plumbing systems including above and below ground.

  • Performs repairs and preventative maintenance to domestic and commercial hot water heaters and boilers to ensure they are within code and insurance specifications.

  • Installs and repairs plumbing, steam regulators, steam traps, and relief valves.

  • Assembles various metal and plastic pressure and sewerage piping using threaded joints, soldering techniques, clamps, bonds, and leaded joints.

Appointment Type: Probational - This position may be filled as a Probationary Appointment requiring 12-24 months on probation.
