Commercial Plumber
Swing Shift - 12pm to 10:30pm, Wednesday thru Saturday (40 hours)
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs and maintenance across three commercial buildings, including sinks, toilets, urinals, faucets, and related fixtures.
* Inspect, maintain, and repair drain lines, including clearing blockages and performing preventive maintenance to ensure proper flow.
* Maintain and service HVAC systems and heat pump units, including filter changes, coil cleaning, belt replacements, and minor mechanical repairs.
* Respond promptly to work orders and service requests submitted by building occupants and management, prioritizing tasks to minimize downtime.
* Conduct routine walkthroughs and inspections of all three buildings to identify and address potential plumbing and mechanical issues before they escalate.
* Coordinate with the broader maintenance team to complete building improvement projects, scheduled preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and equipment service history.
* Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and organizational policies when performing all maintenance and repair work.
* Communicate effectively with building managers and staff regarding the status of repairs, anticipated completion times, and any outstanding issues.
* Maintain an organized inventory of commonly used plumbing and mechanical parts, tools, and supplies; notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required;
* Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience in a commercial, institutional, or industrial setting required.
* Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing systems, drain line maintenance, fixtures, and water supply systems.
* Working knowledge of HVAC systems and heat pump operation, maintenance, and basic repair required.
Preferred
* Trade certs including HVAC, Plumbing, and Backflow are a PLUS
* Prior experience working
