Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Designer / Engineer to join a growing engineering consulting team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong plumbing system design experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions for diverse building projects.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing plumbing systems, preparing construction documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop plumbing systems for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings
• Prepare plumbing layouts, plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Design domestic water, sanitary, vent, and storm drainage systems
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes
• Participate in design reviews, technical coordination meetings, and project planning discussions
• Provide engineering solutions aligned with project requirements and client objectives
• Support BIM workflows and Revit-based project delivery
• Maintain accurate project documentation and design records
• Assist in quality control reviews and resolve design-related issues during execution

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of plumbing design or engineering experience
• Experience in commercial, residential, or institutional building projects
• Strong understanding of plumbing engineering principles and industry best practices

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Revit
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Domestic water systems
  • Sanitary waste systems
  • Vent systems
  • Storm drainage systems
• Familiarity with applicable plumbing codes and standards
