Design and Engineering of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems
• Project specification writing
• Project cost estimating
• Code analysis
• Review project submittals, answer RFI's and other Construction Administration Services
• Collaboration with all internal discipline employees, external design partners, and clients
• Attend project site visits and client meetings
• Visit project sites for site investigations of existing buildings
• Perform plumbing and fire protection engineering calculations
• Effectively communicate complex ideas and solve engineering issues that may arise
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1-5 years of experience in the engineering of plumbing and fire protection systems for
various types of facilities
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET
accredited college
• EIT certification or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) a plus but not required
• Knowledge of building codes and energy standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is essential
• Experience communicating directly with clients
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
