A <\/span>plumbing designer<\/span><\/b> shall have the ability to produce comprehensive facility plumbing designs under the guidance of a project engineer and, at a minimum, have the following capabilities:<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>- Understand basic plumbing theory/calculations, plumbing system components and devices.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Have the ability to comprehend and implement inputs and direction from the project engineer.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Apply Revit, AutoCAD, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software to support project designs.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices with the ability to apply them within the plumbing design.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Be able to develop and draft domestic water and sanitary plans, riser diagrams and schedules.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Understand the components of the mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems that will impact the design and be able to coordinate those discipline requirements into the plumbing design.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Take personal ownership of the work produced.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>- Vocation school, military training, college degree, field experience, proven relevant technical experience.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, word processing/spreadsheet and other basic software.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to participate in a collaborative team environment.<\/span>
