About the Role

B2Q Associates is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plumbing & Fire Protection (P/FP) Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design projects and support the continued growth of their engineering team.

This role is ideal for a professional with a strong technical background, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering high-quality P/FP system designs across higher education and industrial/manufacturing projects.

Over time, this position offers a clear path toward becoming a technical leader or market expert, with opportunities to shape design standards, mentor teams, and contribute to business development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years in plumbing & fire protection engineering design. 

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil or similar Engineering discipline. 

• Experience managing engineering projects from conceptual design through construction while maintaining  schedule and budget. 

• Ability to interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering  problems, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget. 

• Interest or experience in water conservation, electrification, energy efficiency, and resiliency.

• Experience writing specifications. 

• Depth of knowledge of Building, Energy Codes, and NFPA Standards. 

• Depth of knowledge with AutoCAD and Revit. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

• Certified Plumbing Designer and/or EIT preferred. Professional Engineer’s (PE) License not required, but also  preferred. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

Remote work is acceptable and flexible; however, we suggest a minimum of 2 days per week in the office (Andover, MA) to  support team collaboration, mentoring, and client meetings.
