Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Plumbers for projects located in Greensboro, NC. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Perform installation, maintenance, alterations, and repairs of commercial water, gas, drain, sewer, and storm line systems.
Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures across campus buildings.
Conduct service work including unclogging drains, replacing pipes, and performing general plumbing maintenance.
Comply with state and local plumbing codes to ensure safety and reliability.
Prepare and plan work orders; conduct field inspections and determine repair vs. replacement needs.
Operate and maintain campus sewer and underground storm line systems.
Review and approve shop drawings for accuracy; inspect contractor work for compliance.
Conduct testing (destructive and non-destructive) to diagnose plumbing issues.
Participate in planning and review of facility modifications, upgrades, and new construction projects.
Maintain records and establish a database for plumbing systems and equipment for future use.
Collaborate with Facilities supervisors to schedule work with minimal disruption to building occupants.
Requirements:
Valid NC state Plumber’s License.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated plumbing skills and competency to perform the required work.
Experience in related trades may substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.
Strong knowledge of state and local plumbing codes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a facilities team.
