Maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by providing minor plumbing services and assisting licensed plumbers. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities. Adhere to federal and state laws, as well as district policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Three (3) years experience in plumbing field; Texas/New Mexico driver's license; must be insurable by the district's auto liability insurance carrier. Subject to district drug and alcohol testing policy and regulation. Have knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, installation techniques, plumbing codes; ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material; perform mathematical calculations; diagnose and resolve problems; use hand and power tools, pipe bender, propane torch, sewer rooter, heavy equipment, including forklift, trencher, backhoe. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent district-wide travel. Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds frequently; work under all weather conditions; exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and loud noises; be adaptable to work a shift schedule and/or hours other than regularly assigned; extended periods of walking, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, stooping, heavy lifting, and carrying. Work outside and around/on ladders, scaffolding, moving objects, or vehicles. Possible exposure to insects; ability to work around pesticides and herbicides or other potentially hazardous materials in a safe manner. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around gas lines and fumes, and toxic chemicals, inside and outside.
