    Job Overview

    We are seeking motivated and skilled Plumbing Technicians to join our growing team. This position is designed to develop technicians who can be placed into either a Maintenance Technician or Service Technician role based on performance, technical ability, and customer service skills.

    You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and improving plumbing systems while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties

    • Diagnose plumbing issues and provide customers with at least three effective solutions

    • Communicate clearly with customers regarding problems, recommended solutions, and pricing

    • Maintain accurate job documentation, including before, during, and after photos and solution sheets in ServiceTitan

    • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule

    • Promote company Home Protection Plans to non-members

    • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and local plumbing codes

    • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times

    • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and plumbing technologies

    Career Path: Maintenance vs. Service Track

    After onboarding and evaluation, technicians may be placed into:

    Maintenance Track

    • Focus on system inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs

    • Build long-term customer relationships

    • Identify opportunities for system improvements

    Service Track

    • Focus on advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and system replacements

    • Handle complex service calls

    • Generate higher revenue through solution-based selling

    Placement is based on technical skill, sales ability, customer feedback, and overall performance.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3+ years of plumbing experience (5+ years preferred for advanced placement)

    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

    • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment

    • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and safety regulations

    • Clean driving record

    • Nexstar or Service Essentials training preferred (not required)

    • Additional certifications are a plus
