    Job Description

    IDR is seeking a Plumbing Training & Quality Specialist to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role focuses on supporting the launch of innovative smart home water leak detection products by developing training materials, reviewing installations, and ensuring quality standards are met. The position is ideal for someone with plumbing experience who enjoys explaining technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner.

    Position Overview for the Plumbing Training & Quality Specialist:

    • Serve as the plumbing subject matter expert for the client’s water leak detection and shut-off device pilot program.
    • Translate complex plumbing and installation procedures into easy-to-understand training guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting documents for call center agents.
    • Review installation work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with plumbing standards.
    • Provide expertise to resolve escalated customer or installer issues related to plumbing.
    • Conduct periodic on-site visits to observe installation practices, gather feedback, and update training materials accordingly.

    Requirements for the Plumbing Training & Quality Specialist:

    • Hands-on plumbing experience (licensed plumber or equivalent trade experience preferred)
    • Proven ability to develop clear, concise training materials and process documentation for a non-technical audience
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Experience with in-home or connected device technology (smart home, IoT) preferred
    • Willingness to travel 1-2 times per month within the US
