Responsibilities/Qualifications
Homestead Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers and MedTechs to provide care to our residents in our Community in Livonia, MI.
The Caregiver/MedTech will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication administration, and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Administer medications as prescribed by physicians' orders and monitor and document residents' medication intake accurately.
Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, which may include light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Provide regular updates on residents' well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
Able to pass a criminal background check.
Experience working with the elderly.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Every other weekend is required.
Reliable transportation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
