Position Summary
The Supervisor for Coppin's and Knowledge Bar supports the daily operations of both outlets by leading service teams, maintaining exceptional guest experiences, and ensuring smooth, efficient, and professional food and beverage service. This role requires a hands-on hospitality professional who can balance leadership, guest engagement, operational organization, and attention to detail in a refined restaurant and bar environment.
KeyResponsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations for Coppin's and Knowledge Bar, ensuring service standards, timing, cleanliness, and presentation are consistently maintained
- Lead, coach, and support servers, bartenders, barbacks, hosts, and support staff during assigned shifts.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, polished, and welcoming service that reflects the standards of a luxury hospitality environment.
- Monitor the floor and bar areas throughout service, proactively resolving guest concerns, service delays, or operational challenges.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including side work, cash handling,
- shift reports, deposits, and end-of-day reconciliation as assigned
- Support staff scheduling, shift assignments, break coordination, and labor awareness to help maintain efficient operations.
- Maintain product knowledge of menus, cocktails, wines, spirits, promotions, hotel amenities, and special events.
- Assist with inventory control, requisitions, stock rotation, ordering needs, and maintaining appropriate par levels for food, beverage, and service supplies.
- Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service, food safety, sanitation, health department standards, and company policies.
- Partner with management to train new team members, reinforce service expectations, and encourage a positive, professional team culture.
- Support special events, private dining, promotional activations, and high-volume service periods as needed.
- Communicate effectively with culinary, stewarding, hotel operations, and leadership teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, bar, lounge, hotel, or upscale hospitality experience required.
- Prior supervisory, lead server, lead bartender, or shift lead experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of food and beverage service standards, bar operations, cash handling, and guest recovery.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, beer, and current beverage trends preferred.
- Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Must meet all required responsible alcohol service, food safety, and company compliance standards.
- Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
