The ideal candidate must be available to work 3-4 days per week, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A minimum of 6 months of previous serving experience is required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Peter B's Servers are responsible for serving guests in the restaurant. They must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing, fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. Speed, accuracy, attention to detail, courtesy and anticipation of guests needs are essential.
THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB ARE:
- Responsible for serving guests while complying with a sequence of customer service standards to positively impact the guests' experience
- Ability to assume a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guests and fellow staff members
- Recommend certain dishes, identify ingredients and explain how various items on the menu are prepared
- Responsible for serving beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Must check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
- Responsible for recording guest orders and relaying orders to the kitchen via P.O.S. system
- Responsible for observing guests and responding to any additional requests in a timely manner
- Responsible for computing the cost of the meal and presenting the guest with the check; Accept payments and provide change as necessary
- Responsible for noticing and refilling salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments and napkins
- Responsible for replacing tableware and linens
- Set tables for next meal period according to standard
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Must possess in depth menu knowledge and be able to communicate in detail to guests
- Comply with the Company's standards of conduct
