Automotive Mechanic

Location: Livonia, MI

Pay: $21–$25/hour

Shift: 2nd Shift — 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for direct hire

Position Overview

Are you an Automotive Technician looking to join a dynamic company with excellent opportunities for advancement?

Due to steady growth, we have immediate openings for Automotive Technicians at our Livonia, MI facility. This position supports our Flexible Assembly Operation, providing assembly services to leading companies in the automotive industry.

Our projects include off-road tactical military vehicles, self-driving autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, and other highly technical automotive applications. Because these are low-volume, highly technical projects, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and expand your skills on a regular basis.

Full-time/direct-hire opportunities may be available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of automotive technician/mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
• Must provide your own tools, including a rolling toolbox
• Well-rounded automotive technician/mechanical experience and knowledge
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures
• High level of urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm for learning
• Reliable attendance
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Skills

• State and/or ASE certifications
• Experience working with electric vehicles (EVs)

Training & Shift Requirements

• Interview: Candidates must be available to interview during the day shift.
• Initial Training: New hires will train on 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) for approximately two weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.
• Regular Schedule: 2nd shift is 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, with overtime as needed.
• Flexibility: Special accommodations may be considered for highly experienced candidates who are unable to complete training on 1st shift.
