    Provide field supervision and leadership to the preventive maintenance staff in performing maintenance a verity of industrial mechanical equipment at an institutional setting. Using experience of the trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) and manufacture recommended to ensure equipment is maintained properly and as designed. To perform inspections of equipment and make minor repairs or adjustments and needed to equipment and provide technical guidance to staff as needed to ensure equipment is maintained properly. This position is designated "essential personnel" for emergency closings.

    Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilities

    Excellent working knowledge of overall general maintenance in the HVAC, Electrical and plumbing fields. Considerable experience in supervision of various trades. Knowledgeable of trade hand tools used in testing electrical devices and aligning shafts and pumps, etc. Have the ability to manage multiple tasks such as setting work schedule, ordering material and providing assistance to staff.

    Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.

    Level and type of experience

    Considerable knowledge in one or more of the following trades HVAC, Electrical and /or Plumbing). Several years experience in performing preventive maintenance and / or repairs on light commercial mechanical equipment at an institutional setting. Several years experience in supervision.

    Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)

    Several years of supervision experience in the mechanical trade and a master license in one of the mechanical trades. Training or considerable background experience in preventive maintenance and mechanical maintenance repair in HVAC and/or one or more trades such as the electrical or plumbing fields. Background in asbestos removal.

    Conditions of Employment

    In-person reporting position. Position not eligible for telework under any circumstances.
