Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Full-Time | W-2 or 1099 | Ohio Skilled Nursing Facility
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric services to residents in a skilled nursing facility in Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
Diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications within Ohio scope of practice.
Evaluate and manage behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
Develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Provide recommendations and education to residents, families, and facility staff.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Promote appropriate and evidence-based use of psychotropic medications.
Qualifications:
Current Ohio RN and APRN/NP license.
Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Prescriptive authority in Ohio.
Current DEA registration, as applicable.
Experience in geriatric psychiatry, skilled nursing, long-term care, or dementia care preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
Position Details:
