Role Description ----------------

Arcadis seeks a Developer to support the PMIS Implementation Team for major infrastructure programs in the Chicago area. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency in front-end and back-end development system integration and deployment of digital solutions within enterprise environments. The Developer will contribute to the design development and support of digital tools and platforms that enable project controls reporting and data management.

Key Responsibilities -------------------

• Developing and maintaining full-stack digital solutions for PMIS implementation, including user interfaces, APIs, and data services.
• Configuring and integrating Arcadis custom software and applications to meet program requirements.
• Developing custom components, scripts, and automation tools to improve PMIS functionality and working with business analysts and PMIS leads to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Participating in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure software quality and optimal performance.
• Troubleshooting technical issues, responding to support requests, and maintaining thorough documentation for developed tools.
• Supporting data collection, storage, and visualization functions across PMIS tools.
• Ensuring digital solutions are secure, compliant, and interoperable with other program systems.
• Pursuing continuous learning and applying emerging technologies, frameworks, and development practices.
• Participating in technical meetings with internal teams and external vendors.
• Supporting scheduling, task planning, and delivery tracking for assigned development workstreams.

Required Qualifications ----------------------

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field plus 3 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications ----------------------

• Experience in developing and integrating digital tools within PMIS or enterprise project delivery environments.
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React or Angular and back-end development such as Node.js, Python, or .NET.
• Experience with data analysis tools including Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
• Proficiency in database management systems such as MS SQL Server or Oracle.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools including Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to programming languages such as Python, Java, or C and familiarity with software development lifecycle tools such as Jira or DevOps.
• Knowledge of ColdFusion is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Familiarity with APIs and knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $99,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
