Role Description The Podiatrist will provide direct patient care in an on-site clinical setting in Hampton Bays, NY, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of foot and ankle conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine and specialized podiatric examinations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications and orthotics, and providing minor in-office procedures as appropriate. They will also have the opportunity to perform surgical procedures at nearby hospitals or surgery center. The role involves educating patients on preventative foot care, particularly for individuals with diabetes and other chronic conditions, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals when needed. The Podiatrist will document patient encounters accurately, maintain regulatory compliance, and contribute to practice growth through high-quality, compassionate care.

This is a part-time, on-site role with a schedule of 2-3 weekdays a week. If the position proves to be a good mutual fit, the opportunity exists to transition into a full-time role with the possibility of future partnership.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in Medicine and Podiatry, with the ability to diagnose and manage a broad range of foot and ankle conditions.
• \n
• Knowledge of Biomechanics and Orthotics for assessment of gait, structural abnormalities, and implementation of corrective or supportive devices.
• \n
• Experience managing foot health in individuals with Diabetes, including wound care, prevention strategies, and risk assessment.
• \n
• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution and current New York State licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
• \n
• Completion of a podiatric residency program and board qualification or certification preferred.
• \n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, patient-centered care.
• \n
• Ability to work effectively in a small practice environment, manage time efficiently, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• \n
• CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with electronic health records systems are beneficial.
