The role focuses on outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, preventive care, medical management, and in-office procedures.The Podiatrist will care for patients across a range of podiatric needs, with particular emphasis on preventive and ongoing care for individuals with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and other conditions that place them at increased risk for foot complications.Working collaboratively with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals, the Podiatrist will help deliver patient-centered care consistent with our commitment to improving health outcomes, particularly for underserved and vulnerable populations.Summary/ObjectiveThis is an excellent opportunity for a podiatrist seeking a flexible, part-time clinical role without surgical responsibilities, offering a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and a meaningful chance to improve quality of life and prevent serious foot complications for a diverse, mission-driven patient population.Essential FunctionsEvaluate, diagnose, and medically manage conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and related structures.Provide preventive and ongoing foot care, particularly for patients with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and other high-risk conditions.Diagnose and treat common podiatric conditions, including bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, infections, ulcers, fractures, and deformities.Perform appropriate in-office procedures, including nail and skin care, wound care, and other minor non-surgical interventions.Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up care.Collaborate with primary care providers, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.Educate patients and families regarding proper foot care, footwear, prevention strategies, and management of chronic conditions.Provide referrals to specialty care, physical therapy, diagnostic imaging, or other services when clinically indicated.Accurately and promptly document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and patient safety activities.Support community outreach and patient education initiatives, as appropriate.CompetenciesStrong clinical and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in appropriate office-based podiatric procedures.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to diverse and underserved populations.Work EnvironmentOutpatient, non-surgical clinical position with a flexible schedule of 1-2 half-day sessions per week.
