Grambling State University is seeking to hire a Full-time Police Investigator.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of law enforcement experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 60 semester hours which substitutes for two years of experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a current Louisiana drivers license.
Possession of an active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification may be required.
An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.

Applicants with the following knowledge, skills and abilities are encouraged to apply:
Experience conducting investigations, gathering and analyzing information, organizing evidence, and drawing sound conclusions.
Ability to prepare reports and legal documentation, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and provide testimony or depositions when required.
Experience supervising or training staff and building effective working relationships with officials and stakeholders at all levels.
Compensation: The Police Investigator position offers an entrance rate of $47,340.80 annually. This is the minimum compensation that may be offered. The salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Additional compensation may be considered impart with extraordinary qualifications in accordance with State Civil Service Rule 6.5(g).
