Overview
Schedules: Full Time (2 positions) OR Part Time (1 position)
Rotating Shifts (Primarily Nights) (6pm - 6am OR 6am or 6pm)

Work Location: West Hospital (Onsite)
Department Supported: Public Safety
Primary Responsibilities:
Conducts rounding and foot and vehicle patrols in and around properties that are owned, leased or occupied by IU Health. Responds to calls for service. Enforces and assists in the enforcement of IU Health rules, regulations, policies and state statutes. Provides direction and guidance to team members, guests and patients. Assists teams with de-escalating tense, uncertain and emotional situations. Proactively works to prevent crime and safety incidents. Responds to and investigates criminal activity and vehicle crashes as needed. Maintains records and logs and completes written reports as required. Performs physical security screening as required. Creates a safe healthcare environment for team members, patients and guests. Performs other duties as assigned by the chain of command.

Benchmarks:
3 months - Achieve understanding of the initial job roles.
6 months - Utilizing time to ensure safety and security.
12 months - Competent in identifying new areas to improve safety and security.
