Police Officer
The Police Officer is responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing laws and university policies, and ensuring the safety and security of campus facilities. This level position operates with increased autonomy and supports the overall mission of campus law enforcement through patrol, investigation, emergency response, and administrative duties. Officers act under general supervision and may lead or assist during shifts in the absence of a sergeant.

Based on the selected candidate's qualifications, the position will be at the appropriate classification: Police Officer I/FTO, Police Officer II, Senior Police Officer, Master Police Officer.

Required time in position may be reduced by 1 year with the possession of one of the following:

$30.10 - $32.91 an hour
$62,614.00 - $68,450.00 annually
Police Officer II - Level 51
$33.89 - $37.04 an hour
$70,498.00 - $77,040.00 annually
Senior Police Officer - Level 52
$38.15 - $41.68 an hour
$79,352.00 - $86,686.00 annually
Master Police Officer - Level 53
$42.94 - $45.54 an hour
$89,307.00 - $94,725.00 annually
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
