BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this position is to provide general support to the Human Resources department. This is accomplished by providing customer service to all citizens and employees, responding to requests for information, managing data entry and reporting, corresponding with vendors, preparing meeting minutes, maintaining the office, and managing department phones, mail, and calendars. Additional duties include onboarding new-hires, making department purchases, managing records retention, verifying wage and employment requests, scheduling pre-employment background checks, assessments, interviews and appointments, responding to required state and federal agency reporting, assisting with special projects, and maintaining department records.

5 S Maintains department inventories by reviewing items on hand, assisting with purchases, and ordering general supplies.

6 S Supports the work of other clerical support staff, volunteers or interns, by acting as a lead worker, training employees in routine office functions and monitoring progress.
